XV Journée Méditeranéenne des Unités Sanitaires
During the XV Journée Méditeranéenne des Unités Sanitaires at Domaine d’ô Montpellier, HWBs Deputy Dr Fabio Stenberg (on behalf of SESP- Madrid) and President Dr Roberto Monarca (on behalf of SIMSPe Onlus – Viterbo) will present the experience of the European Project REHAB.
Analysing the last decades’ experience, it can be assumed that public health cannot longer neglect prison health. Every society faces prison health problems; the national EU strategies on harm reduction requires developed and inclusive prison policies, prisons being the spaces where inmates require specific assistance more than others.
REHAB aims to launch an innovative training program to improve health and hygienic conditions and a psychological and communicational strategy within the detention environment.
